Our American Oak is sourced from the Missouri Ozarks, an area that can produce a much tighter grain than other areas of the USA, such as Kentucky.

In addition, we sort our staves into three grain profiles so that our barrels are categorised as follows:
• Broad grain
• Medium grain
• Fine grain
