Grain Profiling

As far as we are aware, Heinrich is the only cooperage in the world to offer three grain profiles. By doing so, we allow winemakers to better tailor their cooperage requirements and obtain consistency from barrel to barrel. Our clients can also be assured of better replication of results from vintage to vintage.

Our French Oak is all fine grain, however our American Oak is sorted into three grain profiles, each imparting the wine with distinctive characteristics. Click here to see the characteristics that different grains impart to both red and white wine.
